C.F.P CYBER FIREWALL PRO

Privacy Policy

What Cyber Firewall Pro does with the permissions it asks for, in plain terms — and, just as importantly, what it never does.

Last updated: September 10, 2026  ·  App package: cyber.firewall.pro

Summary

Cyber Firewall Pro lets you choose which apps on your device are allowed to use the internet. It does this entirely on your device — it does not route your traffic through any remote server, does not read the contents of your connections, and does not sell or share your personal data.

The short version: no account is required, your browsing content is never seen by us, and the only information ever sent off your device is the minimum Google's advertising and billing systems required to show ads and process subscriptions — described in full below.

The VPN permission, explained

When you turn the firewall on, Android shows a system dialog asking you to trust Cyber Firewall as a VPN. This is a standard part of how Android allows any app — ours or otherwise — to control per-app network access without root access. Here is specifically what that permission is used for and what it is not used for:

What it does

  • Creates a local, on-device network tunnel used only to intercept outgoing connections from apps you've chosen to block.
  • Connections from blocked apps are dropped locally. They are never forwarded to any server, ours or otherwise.
  • Apps you have not blocked bypass this tunnel entirely and connect to the internet normally, exactly as if Cyber Firewall were not installed.

What it does not do

  • It does not decrypt, inspect, or store the content of any connection (no message text, no browsing content, no file contents, no passwords).
  • It does not send your traffic to any external or remote server for processing.
  • It cannot see traffic inside connections protected by another VPN app you may also be running.

If you subscribe to Cyber Firewall Pro and enable the connection log, the app additionally reads the header of each dropped connection attempt — just the destination IP address, port number, and protocol (TCP/UDP) — to show you which blocked app tried to reach the internet and when. This is described fully in the next section.

Permissions this app requests

  • BIND_VPN_SERVICE — establishes the local blocking tunnel described above.
  • INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE / ACCESS_WIFI_STATE — required by Android for any app that uses networking APIs, and used by Cyber Firewall to detect whether you're on Wi-Fi or mobile data for the network-based blocking rules.
  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE — keeps the firewall running reliably while your screen is off, with a persistent notification so you always know it's active.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS — shows that persistent "firewall active" notification, and lets scheduling features notify you of status changes.
  • SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM — used only for Pro scheduled-blocking rules, so a block window starts and ends at the exact time you set.
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — restarts the firewall and any active schedules automatically after you restart your device, if it was on before the restart.
  • QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES — required by Android to display Applications installed on the device.
  • GET_PACKAGE_SIZE — required by Android to display the sizes of applications installed on the device.
  • BILLING — required by Android for us to offer Subscriptions on the App.

Third-party services

Cyber Firewall Pro uses a small number of third-party SDKs to support free-tier ads and subscriptions. Each operates under its own privacy policy, linked below.

ServicePurposePolicy
Google AdMobBanner and native ads on the free tierpolicies.google.com/privacy
AppodealAd mediation for native adsappodeal.com/privacy-policy
Google Play BillingProcessing Pro subscription paymentspolicies.google.com/privacy

These services may collect device identifiers (such as your advertising ID) to show relevant ads or process payments. Cyber Firewall Pro itself does not sell your data to anyone, and does not share your connection log or block lists with any of these services.

Information That May Be Collected

The following minimal, non-personal data may be processed during normal app operation:

  • Crash reports — If the app crashes, Android may generate a crash report. This is handled by Google Play's crash reporting and contains only technical stack trace information, not personal data.
  • Onboarding preference — A single boolean flag (onboarding_done) is saved to your device's local SharedPreferences to remember whether you've seen the onboarding screens. This never leaves your device.
  • In-memory connection statistics — Connection counts and bandwidth bytes are held in RAM while the proxy runs and are never persisted to disk or transmitted anywhere.
None of the above data is transmitted to us or any third party (except Google Play crash reporting, which is governed by Google's privacy policy).

📢 Advertising (Google AdMob)

Cyber Firewall Pro displays advertisements served by Google AdMob to support free access to the app. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalised or non-personalised ads depending on your consent and device settings.

AdMob may collect the following data independently of our app:

  • Advertising ID (GAID) for ad personalisation
  • IP address for general location (country/region level)
  • Device type, OS version, and language settings
  • Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
Important: We have no access to, and do not control, the data that AdMob collects. Please review Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy and AdMob's policies for full details.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time in your device settings under Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.

📢 Advertising (Appodeal)

Cyber Firewall Pro displays advertisements served by Appodeal to support free access to the app. Appodeal may collect and use data to serve personalised or non-personalised ads.

Appodeal may collect the following data independently of our app:

  • Advertising ID (GAID) for ad personalisation
  • IP address for general location (country/region level)
  • Device location data
  • Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
Important: We have no access to, and do not control, the data that Appodeal collects. Please review Appodeal's Privacy Policy at https://www.appodeal.com/privacy-policy and Appodeal's policies for full details.

📢 Advertising (Meta)

Cyber Firewall Pro may also show ads through Meta Audience Network. Meta may collect similar identifiers and usage signals for ad targeting purposes, governed by Meta's own data policy.

  • Meta's Privacy Policy: facebook.com/policy.php
  • You can manage Meta ad preferences at your.facebook.com/ads/preferences

Subscriptions

Cyber Firewall Pro is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, billed and managed entirely through Google Play. We never see or store your payment card details — Google handles all payment processing. You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription at any time from the Subscriptions section of the Google Play Store app.

Retention & deletion

  • All app data described above is stored locally on your device only, for as long as the app is installed.
  • You can clear the connection log at any time from within the app using the Clear button on the Connection Log screen.
  • Uninstalling Cyber Firewall Pro removes all locally stored data — block lists, schedules, profiles, and logs — immediately and permanently.
  • We do not retain any copy of this data on any server, because it is never sent to one.

Children's privacy

Cyber Firewall is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will address it.

Security

Because block lists, schedules, and connection logs never leave your device, the primary safeguard is your device's own storage security (screen lock, disk encryption). We recommend keeping your device's software up to date and using a screen lock, as with any app that manages sensitive settings.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes — for example, adding a new type of data collection — will also be noted in the app's Google Play Store listing update notes.
